Default Ly6-6l90e

Recently I bought an LY6-6L90E combo', I'm fitting it to a Holden WB one tonner. First thing I'll do is fit an l76 intake manifold. Anyone know weather the throttle body on a LY6 is the same as an L76?? For those that are wondering what a Holden WB one tonner is , check out this site. www.proutes.com it's an Australian ute based forum, so check it out.

Cheers,

Barra..

It will bolt on but its a little smaller in size and thats about it. How much do the L76 intakes go for down there? they are about gone from all street cars now?

Shawn,
I contacted one of the performance upgrade workshops the other day to see if he had any preowned manifolds off engines that they had fitted a blower to. He said he had one LS2 manifold & I could have it for $350 aud. I thought this was a bit rich seeing as how it really cost him nothing. But thems the breaks. If I wanted a new one they're upwards of $700 aud. When you say that it's a bit smaller do you mean the throttle body or the manifold? I'm interested in if the existing throttle body will fit a L76 / LS2 manifold, or is it a different size?

Cheers,

Barra.

DO NOT BUY THAT LS2 set up!

It will not fit!!!

the LY6 has the L92 heads which are rectangle port and the LS2 is cathedral port. The only intakes you can run are the L76 or LS3!
your TB will work on the LS3 or L76 intake.

Did you manage to find what you need Barra?

FYI Truck TB's are generally different to car TB's. Pre 09 they opened in the opposite direction and would only operate properly with their respective ECM's.

Shawn,
I'm still looking, the eng and trans only arrived last friday, it's missing it's ecm and harnesses, but Bart is going to sort this out for me. Would you be able to give me a rough price on a Mast' phaser camshaft for the LY6. I'm already thinking more horses.

Cheers,

Barra.
