I'm adding the exh system hangers onto the frame of my 55 sedan.
Using the LQ4 engine, and the stock cast iron manifolds.
The system will be run w/ 2 1/2" pipe, and exit at the rear bumper.
I need:
Good sound.
NO drone.
Quiet enuf for long trips.
Also, NE1 using X pipes, or H pipes in a similar application?
Any and all suggestions welcomed!
TIA,:D

I know its probably not the sound your looking for but it’s the only thing I put on any LS engine, these chambered pipes sounds wicked when you open it up without being to raspy, this stle exhaust came on the GMMG cars and the 60s corvettes and special order Camaros.

I prefer X-pipes that are properly made which help balance the exhaust system while not decreasing the exhaust flow.

I have had some friends run Borla Mufflers for a nice sound without getting to aggressive of a sound. Might be the route you want to take.

Hi.

I used Hush Trusch on my 55 Delivery with X pipes, it sounds great.
