Here are some photos of an LS6 manifold installed on my 02 Silverado using the 07 L92 water pump and top hose.

There is no idler bracket as the idler was mounted on a longer bolt instead. The belt clearance is ~3/8" with this setup.

I still have to rework my intake tube. Routing will depend on the cooling fan system that I decide to use. It will be much cleaner if I use a stock electric setup.

I've got some more photos of this setup and will post them later.

Can you send me a CD of as many pics of the swap and what you had to do to make it work? I could really use this info for the book im doing.

The photos attached show a mock-up motor with the 06-up Gen 4 truck water pump (GM PN 12600767) and an LS2 intake.

This pump will not allow the use of an LS2/3/7 90mm DBW TB unless you use a ~46-48 mm spacer due to the location of the stepping motor location on the TB. :( All is not lost, though. ;)

With an LS2/3/7 intake, a Nick Williams 90 mm cable TB will clear with a small spacer and some minor relief grinding on the pump body. A Nick Williams 90 mm DBW TB will clear with no issues since it uses the stepping motor assembly form an LS1/6, which mounts on the side opposite the water outlet. :D

This pump also works with an LS1 or LS6 intake with a stock cable TB or a DBW TB from a CTS-V or Corvette. With both of these manifolds, you also have provisions for mounting a throttle/cruise control cable bracket.

When installed on a truck using the idler/long-bolt method instead of a bracket to relocate the idler, an NAPA #060990 belt is used. The top radiator hose for the large (6.0L) radiator is GM PN 19130027.

If you have a truck with a return line, the '97 Corvette LS1 fuel rails work nicely on the LS1/6 manifolds. If your truck has a return line system and you have an LS2/3/7 manifold, you have to change to the later (return in tank) system or install a regulator w/return in your line.

I've also added a photo showing the belt clearance with the idler/long-bolt method. It's hard to tell in the photo, but there's about 3/8" or so.

What intakes are people using when running L92 square bore heads? I assume all car intakes will not work. Are there aftermarket options?

There are 3 factory intakes that fit the L92 heads, the L76, the LS3/L99 and the L92 truck intake. The L76 is no longer in production. :(

The only aftermarket intake (other than custom-fabbed aluminum or ITB stuff) is from FAST, part number 146102.

FAST also offers a cathedral port truck intake, but so far, they don't have the L92 version available.

If being installed on a truck, the same requirements outlined in the previous paragraphs still apply. It's basically the same for all of the car intakes.

Great info do you have a photo of the TB clearing the waterpump?

Also a VVt truck water pump will be a direct bolt on and allow the use of a car intake with the truck ACC without any other mods

So you're saying that the Water pump PN 12600767 (L92 Truck Water pump) can be used with the LS3 intake with no mods? Even if running a DBC Thorttle body? If this is true. do you have any pictures of the clearance? The reason I ask is because I'm planning on doing the swap this weekend, and that is the water pump that I have. I have included a photo of the throttle body I have. The throttle arm extends out 1 1/4" at the farthest point, from the throttle body mounting flange.

I have done it with the cable driven LS6 intakes but i have not tried it on a drive by wire yet LS3. I might have the parts at the shop id just have to place it on the motor to show it.

If you could do that, it'd be greatly appreciated. I need to know if I need to pick up a water pump from a 2010 Camaro or not.

i know the camaro ones will work without a doubt, i just need to check the truck ones. The VVT is on the truck 5.3L and 6.0L motors so its cheap 2nd hand with low miles over 250ish at a dealer.

Yea, I know it works with the LS6 throttle body, I'm just worried about the added diameter of the 90mm throttle body.

Looks like it may work...guess there is only one way to find out...
BTW, that is a NW 90mm throttle body, not mine. Just have to shave the pump a little where the throttle arm hits. I guess I'll be trying mine seeing as i've already shaved mine.

What is the part number of the VVT truck water pump for this conversion? What vehicles did it come on? I have an '03 5.3 with no front drive parts. I want an LS6 intake to fit and truck accessories to fit in my '84 Monte.

It comes from any VVT truck motor. the most commen is the 2007+ 6.0L 2500 HD truck motor. ALso some 5.3L came with VVT so it can be in a 1500 truck as well.

I have an 07' SS trailblazer complete engine with tranny set up, would the existing water pump work with the ls1/6 intake? This is my first swap into my 67 camaro. I plan on using the Kwik Performance ac and alt/ps relocation brackets and would like to use the shallower intake.

Thanks.
