I have an 87 K-5 Blazer that is strictly used for Off-road purposes. Currently it has a 305 CI motor, TH-400 Trans, NP-205 transfer case, 14 bolt rear with welded gears, dana 60 front with locker, both have been converted to 8 lug ends. It also has a 4" lift, 36" tires, and 4.10 gears. The truck is used for trail riding, rock climbing and mud running. The motor is just not strong enough and has seen better days.
I would like to transplant a 6.0 LQ9 from a truck and mount that to a Siginaw SM465 Manual and keep my NP-205. I plan on increasing my tires to 42" and gearing to 4.56. Any help with this mating of drive train would be greatly appreciated.
