I have an LS2 with tranny I'm installing into my 67 camaro. I'm using a carburated top end, however, how do I control the 416:confused:0 transmission that came with the swap?

You well have to get a stand alone controller, GM, TCI or BM are good choices..

Thanks, I did some research over the weekend and found I can use a torque converter that will accept the LS on the motor side and the 700r4 on the transmission side for $350. Plus I will have to get the TV cable to control the transmission for an additional $200. I have the 700r4 just sitting in my garage, cheaper.

I found the stand alone system is about $1,100. ouch!

The reason I want to use the carburator is because I do not know how much work and money it would actually take to get the my pull out LS2 SSTB package I got to work in my car 67. Fuel delivery, tunning, guage set up, gas pedal ect.

I figured a carburator would eliminate all that together.

Yes.. Many have started with the same thought. And many have found it not to always be true. if you already have the EFI and/or Trans, it is not more more work to get them to work. Just take a bit of time to research and get a good understanding of the Tech....

Good luck either way you go.. but IMO. the EFI is the way to go.
