08 gen iv 5.3 can it mate with lt1 t56?

Sup everyone! I'm new to the site 1st post so forgive me if its in the wrong section. I have a 70 nova i'm trying to get up and going. I am about to purchase 08 gen iv 5.3 to put in it. The title says it all. I have a lt1 t56 and i wanna try and use it. will it mate with the gen iv 5.3? any advice or input is appreciated.

The LT1 version of the T56 has a different input shaft. .400 difference.

you can use it and have top options; 1) get the Bell housing and flywheel to match up due to the difference. aftermarket (McLeod or ?) 2) change the front input shaft.

Many have done it. but the simple way would be to sell yours and buy a LS1 T56.
