Good morning.just joined.have an 87 biuck regal limited and gathering parts to do a lq9 vin n swap.c 5 brakes already in place.gonna use a ls7 cam with ported heads and truck manifold.

Welcome.. sound like you got a plan going.. why not look for a LS6 intake.. would look better and a bit better top end power. Also will avoid any hood Clearance (but might have to work on the water inlet).

What transmission are you going with ? 4L80E ?

4l65 is the trans.drive bywire.no pics yet just a pyle of parts so far.tryin to start a business too.loot tight right now.want the truck manifold for the torque.so far the single hardest thing to over come is exhactly what oil pan.

You can run the car intake but you have to use the VVT water pump from a 2007+ Never truck. The outlet should point at a 45% angle to the PS side.

The LH8 GM oil pan will work, its super cheap but hangs below the frame. I have one that is only 5.5in deep but higher in cost.

The CTS-V pan will also work but it will need to place the motor further back in the engine bay and can require extra work for A/C fitment.
