muncie 4spd swap.. who did it?

do you have any pics, or info to help me with this?

i assume that i would need a retrofit or custom flywheel to work with my 11" clutch?

also would like to know if there is any way to keep the mechanical clutch linkage?

car is 71 chevelle, and no i dont have an LSx yet.. trying to get everything sorted out first..

I know that some guy on LS1Tech was able to adapt his 57 Chevy and use the old cast iron Bell Housing and was able to rig up the Z-Bar.. might have to search for him as I don't recall the user name.

But, bottom line, it can be done if you really want to do this. But there are just more benifits to going with a newer 5 or 6 speed trans (stronger, overdrive, easier to set up the throw out bearing, etc).

yeah i want to go 5 or 6spd, but im not sure when it will happen, but i was thinking of just throwing in the lsx with the muncie then swap it over..

but who knows by the time i go to do it, ill end up just doing it all at once
