Hey folks,
Looking for a little advice or expert tutelage...

I have a 73 RS Camaro and I have located a 04 GTO pull-out LS1 and a 6 speed for a reasonable price. Anything I need to know about this type of setup that may make things a little "challenging"?

Thank you,

Kelley

For the 70-81 F-Body’s your going to want to run the 98-02 F-Body or Cady CTS-V oil pan.

The GTO, corvette, for F-Body accessories work best in the swap but the truck set ups can be made to fit.

The GTO alternators can require replacing if it’s to close to the PS Box, the 98-02 F-Body’s are a direct replacement and give the needed extra clearance.

The A/C compressor will also need to ne relocated to the top by a www.KwikPerf.com (http://www.kwikperf.com/) A/C relocation bracket that is also a sponser of the site and the other option is to notch the frame as shown

Also RockAuto.com has an EFI fuel tank that is a direct bolt in for the 70-73 F-Body that will make hooking up the EFI a snap and is under $500 shipped!

The 99-02 F-Body will be an easier swap for drivetrain and the 01 02 F-Bodys are the same as the 04 GTOS for less $ and no need to change oil pans.

Check www.Car-Part.com (http://www.Car-Part.com) for donor motors.

Also you can get you donor harness rewired from

Speartech.com

Wait4meperformance.com

Currentperformance.com

I have also heard great reviews from the ebay selling complete modified harness for under $500 with no core.

Hope this helps

Ok...so...I am looking at the big-old, wide T-56 sitting in the floor of the shop and the little-bitty, skinny 2nd Gen floor hump...Any pictures of where to start with my plasma cutter?:D
Suggestions?
