Hi everyone,
I'm pro-touring & lateral-g member and thought I also should share a build thread over here.
I bought it december 2002 and I'm still on it.

current projects, rework the whole car, rebuild frame/suspension. Body will be painted something like gunmetal (dark grey)..
first steps - I cleaned a lil bit the engine and added some chrome parts..

..unfortunately 3 years passed now I had to stop work on it because of money issues... but this year I'm back on it again.
Like said before, want to rebuild everything. Want a clean & smooth car - good suspension, good brakes and a nice look..

Looking good Kevin! I can remember when I put my body up in the air and redid the frame. Those darned frame rails always rot in the same place! I just got my LS1 installed yesterday. Still need to do lots of work but it's bolted in there anyways.....

ok I'm not that often online over here (most time I'm online on www.pro-touring.com) - time for updates..
I started scratching all that underbody protection stuff off they put on here in Germany. It helps against rust in winter with all that salt and stuff on streets..

I just looked around for some nice retro gauges and came to this:
http://i60.photobucket.com/albums/h1/CruizinKev/KevsMonteCarlo/parts/classicinstruments_com.jpg
If I'll get this I'll get a KPH instead MPH speedo custom made by classicinstruments.
and well, I found some classic hot rodding looking rims - Eagle Alloy 225. They come in 18x8 (fronts) and 18x10 (rear).

Looking great.. now you have the frame done, the fun begins by putting everything together for the final times..
I recall when my frame was sitting on the ground and when it came back from the powder Coater and it next became a rolling Frame ready to drop the body back on !

yesterday I sprayed the inside of the frame with some rust protector. its a kind of grease / spray lubricate that keeps away rust and water. I put the rear back together just to see if all parts fit. I'll replace the stock rear end with a 8.5" grand national or better with a ford 9".
