I will be using a 95 impala ss fuel tank from a junk yard $75

My question is can I use the the sender and fuel pump already on the imapla tank?

Or swap out the impala sending unit and pump, and place the GTO sender and pump in the tank?

I wonder if the GTO sending unit and pump will fit in the imapla tank?

Any suggestions or comments????

Yes and No...

Yes on the sender but No on the Pump.

The Gen II fuel system is regulated to be 47 lbs of Pressure and the Gen III/IV fuel system use 57 lbs of pressure. The stock Impala pump may enough pressure to startup and run, but under WOT, It might not have enough Pressure and volume to feed the Gen III/IV engine and a lean condition might happen !

I used a Racetronix B-Body kit that uses a Walbro 255 pump and custom wiring harness and setup. This is a direct bolt in and has been working without any problems.

The Sender can be used, it is a 0-90 ohm sender so, if you gauge is setup for the ohm range. You in luck.. Most early GM are 0-90 ohm gague, but you need to check.

If you have the sender/pickup from the goat ... give it a try.. but the arm for gauge may have to be mod'd to work as well as the pump depth.
