Suggestions?

During my test fitting I removed the exhaust manifolds. I can not reinstall them due to contact with the frame. I have the 6.0 LY6 with the L92 heads with the truck manifolds, in a 1965 A-body convertible. I could machine the pasenger side flange for clearance but the drivers side hits at one of the three bolt holes. Will any factory manifolds fit this application? Who sells a 1-7/8 to 2" primary hedder for this?

I would suggest you use 98-02 F-Body mainifold if you don't go with Tube Headers.. The F-Body seem to be the best one as they tucks in pertty well and exit point seem to match up with the frame best.

The Truck Manifold are built a little wider that most car's one, you can try GTO.

The Vette manifold exit point would run into your cross member. Almost mid point of the engine.

Thanks. The d/s looks to dump out close to center on the f-body. I'll have to find a set to test fit. Is that an emissions port on them?

Will the CTS work? They seem to dump out torward the rear on both sides.

Do the cast iron and aluminum heads have different ports?

Yes, the D/S does position the exit a bit in the center, but they do fit.. I had a set on my 71 Chevelle, many other has used them on the earlier chevelle swap with good success.

Depending on what year manifolds.. they have AIR and EGR ports.

I Do have a set of 02 cast one for sale.. I know one of the other guys I know put a LQx in his 65 Chevelle and used my manifolds to test fit and they were ok, so whe went out a picked up a set and is still using them.

Not sure about the ports for all of the heads.. but I think the shapes are the same (except the LS7, I can stand corrected if someone will ping in.. )....

I can get a set of 04-06 GTO exhaust manifolds. Anyone know if they will fit?
