Hey, my name is Lu.
This is my first time being on an LSx message board, and I couldn't have had a better time even on my first day. I'm putting an LS1 motor into my 88 Monte Carlo SS and this site already proved to be more than helpful.

Sounds like a great built the 82-88 G-body is one of the most popular swap cars going. We even have two at our shop being built right now.
Where are you at in the swap?

Still currently putting the motor together, I'm curious as to what accessory setup I should be running, whether it be one from a camaro, corvette, or a truck, I'm trying to keep the power-steering and AC. The motors slightly apart and I'm still gathering parts to make the swap quick. I'll have pictures up as soon as I get the motor back together.

So what trans are you planning to match your LS1 with?
