Anyone done it? I have been reading about it lately. I was trying to figure out how to improve the streetability of my wrangler, the 3speed trans just doesn't cut it with 35" tires and 4.56 gears.

I figured if I could pick up a 5.3 with 4x4 trans cheap enough it would pay off in gas mileage on my 80 miles/day commute...

Check out Novark. they offer some great jeep adapter kits for the swaps. We have a TJ limo that might be getting a 5.3L. He is the brother of the owner on our 1987 Aerocoupe swap. Ill keep you posted if so
