I am in the process of planning a 5.3 swap into a 87 Monte Carlo SS. I think I found a good deal on a 06 5.3 out of a tahoe LT I can get the motor acc and harness for 600 it has under 20k miles

That will be a sweet combination. What are you using for a transmission?

that is still up in the air I can get the trans from the tahoe but it is a 4wd trans I need to know if I can convert it to 2wd

its a pain you have to rebuild the trans but get the harness its the same see if he has a 2wd set up he can pair it will if its at a yard

I was wrong on the year it is a 07 and I think I am going to go with the $WD trans he will give it to me for 200 and it only had 17000 miles :). Now I need to figure out getting the wireing connected to my harness. any pinouts would be helpfull
