Just wanted to say hey, found this site from the long post on putting LS motors into G-bodies over on montecarloss.com
Been getting to more and more LSX swaps so I figured this is the place to learn a little, share a little and see what products out there that people are using.
Thanks

Welcome to the site! I’m also the one that wrote that write up on Montecarloss.com and have helped a lot of people be converted to the LS side!
What year G-Body and LS are you planning to drop in?

It's a 83 Buick Regal http://www.hzemall.com/our_gallery/installs_hzemall/regal/cover.htm
It's getting a TPI right now (that is the plan)
We are doing a Chevy C-10 for a Canada wide magazine. They own three different magazines and we are doing a budget build to show that you can build a very cool truck for under $20k in parts. It will have a 8 part build feature as well as several direct "How-To" articles to give the projects sponsors better coverage of their products.
I have a LR4/4L60E right now for it I bought cheap off craigslist for $500 but one of the local wrecking yards is going to sponsor the truck with a LQ9/4L60E combo for it, so if that comes thru the LR4 might end up in the Regal.
Here is the website for the truck www.projectc10.com

As for that TPI sell it! That LR4 will make more power, drive better and with a cam give you 400HP! Its going to take just about the same about of work. Otherwise your putting alor of time to bring your 80s car back into the 80s!
As for the truck get me some info from the magazine and I might be able to sponsor you with some parts or at least sell them to you CHEAP. With a set of L92 heads, a LS6 cam that LQ9 would be a monster using off the shelf GM parts. The only thing else you would need is a L92 truck intake which I can also get for next to nothing and you have a LY6 with a 550/550 lift cam and VVT to mess with! Also make sure that 4L60 is not AWD. Most LQ9 had an all wheel drive transmission that would need to be rebuilt to make it 2wd. Tell them you need a 2wd trans from a 07 up 5.3L it’s a better 4L65.

Phil is it?
We have a full run down of the project on www.projectc10.com
There is a project proposal here http://www.projectc10.com/pages/The%20Project%20C-10.pdf that has a media package for all three magazine along with our projected online exposure.
We just added Painless Performance, Al's Liner and a few local companies to the project one of them being a local recycler for the motor once they get a 9 or a 4 in stock along with a 2 wheel drive tranny.
We decided to go for a LQ9/4 for the truck and will keep the LR4 for the Regal someday.
If you get a chance, check it out. We would love to have you onboard with the project.
Thanks

Shawn
We would love to use whatever products you feel would be best to promote your company.
That is one of the reasons also for this project is to allow companies like yours to get added exposure in markets you might normally not get exposure in.

Shawn, I will be in Cali in two weeks for the SEMA media conference to talk to all the manufacturers about the magazines project vehicles. I wanted to find out if you were still interested in being involved with the project before I head down there.
Thanks
