Hey, I've got my '81 Z-28 Camaro at a second shop to get the wiring/computer and the other 50 details worked out. The front cross member did not need relieving for ac. There are so many pulley combinations out there now there is no need. One other thing...the ac I'm running is not the stock unit. Do your homework...I spent money I didn't need getting the Ls-1 installed. Also...no need to bolt the engine mounts to the crosspiece...just weld them. The shop does many Ls swaps and thats what they do without problems.
