I bought the 5.3l L33 off ebay with 21,000 miles on it.
It came with the ls1 intake on it. the torque converter is from twistmachine its a 2500 stall. Transdapt mount plates were used with sbc motor mounts and the oldsmobile frame mounts were made to work with the sbc motor mounts.
I had boughten brp mounts but decided to go with these instead. Also I bought the Lh8 pan but didnt like the ground clearance. The front has bottomed out a few times before just from driving too hard and fast. The oil pan is a champ pan. The engine has to be further back with it.

The headers are Dougs headers. And the the radiator is made by entropy

Very nice.... What are you going to do for the AC setup..? did you change to a F-body front Accessories (Water pump,etc) ?

I just used the LS1 compressor and had my local Tubing shop modify the two sets of hose/ends. If you have a fix displacment Compressor, it should work out ok, if it is a variable one. It will also work, but will only work at 60%. It has only effected me in slow moving traffic..

Did you compare the Champ pan to the Autokraft, Canton or ATS pans ?.. I am looking for input for my 71 Nova...

What is your impression of the Doug Headers, I've got Edelbrock on my chevelle...

Thanks. I don't know about the AC, I didn't know the compressors are different. I think the water pump was changed on it, its how I bought it and my dad made the bracket for the alternator. I thought the champ pan was cheaper from looking at the website but that price is without the pickup tube and stuff. I would have gone with ats or autokraft instead. I have never looked at canton's oil pans. The headers are the first set that I have bought so I don't really have anything to compare them to. They look nice. I got them instead of hookers because the hookers are like $100 more and the dougs are a thicker gauge steel and have thicker flanges. They have good ground clearance. The motor is sitting up a little higher to clear the steering box though. Its sitting on I think 1" aluminum blocks.

The air intake is pretty much done, it just needs something to support it. My car still needs the fuel and transmission lines done and all of the wiring for the engine harness needs to be done.

It has the truck alternator bracket on there now. I'll post a pic of it later. The one in the second post is the alternator bracket my dad made.
I'll have to change the name of my photobucket album for my pictures to appear in the first post cause it is now censoring the last three letters in Cutl***.

Right now I'm having problems with the DBW quitting after I give it too much gas when its in gear.

After I did this the throttle quit working. Was fun though :). And I need positraction

I got the exhaust on. It's a dual exhaust setup 3". No h or x-pipe. I have pypes kit but the drive shaft is in the way for the x-pipe and it was going to hang too low. Oh well I'll just try to sell it. The pypes violator mufflers sound really good when revved up. And they aren't too loud at idle or cruise. The exhaust dumps after the mufflers cause it would have to hang lower with tailpipes.

The car isn't street legal yet just wanted to update. It needs: the new gauges put in, registration, inspection, A/C hooked up and charged. Think that's it.

My car now has the original crossmember on it now. Because the brphotrod one was too weak. Though it did have two humps welded into it, so the exhaust would fit. The original one is much stronger and has way better clearance for the exhaust. It also raised the transmission up.
I am no longer using anything that I had bought from brp because of the issues with their products. I have read that they have redesigned the kits, so they may be better. Their trans crossmember still looks the same though and they are still selling the lh8 pan.
