For you guys wanting to eliminate drive by wire (DBW) for your swaps, here is the way to do it.
You must have a basic understanding of the wiring harness and what your are doing as far as the swap.
First step is to acquire these 4 things:
1) PCM with IAC controls, ex. 2003-2004 Express Van PCM
2) Throttle body with electronics
3) IAC connector
4) TPS connector
*HINT* if you delete the A/C controls, the A/C pressure sensor connector will work for the TPS connector.
You will now do one of two things:
1) Remove the wires from the TB to TAC to PCM and re-run wires from PCM to TB
OR
2) Cut the TB connector plug off, splice the new connectors onto these existing wires. Cut the TAC plugs off and using deleted wires from the PCM to connect to the wires going to the TB.
Option #1, is the preferred method. Follow the attached images for pinouts.
The ECM will pinned as follows:
Remove:
C1 pin #14
C1 pin #15
Install:
C1 pin #8: TPS 5v reference
C1 pin #60: TPS low reference
C2 pin #24: TPS signal
C2 pin #76: IAC COIL B HI
C2 pin #77: IAC COIL B LO
C2 pin #78: IAC COIL A LO
C2 pin #79: IAC COIL A HI
To install new wires into the PCM you can reuse some deleted wires or buy new components, again, the fewer splices the better, I prefer new components.
